Paid Summer Internship: Intern, Product Management team, London
Reporting to: Directors, Product Management & Process Management

A key part of selling telecommunications services is understanding what equipment and infrastructure you have, and where it is. Installing new equipment is expensive and time consuming, whereas re-using equipment already installed - when possible - dramatically speeds installation. This not only helps customers, but also improves the firm's financial performance, particularly regarding its capital efficiency.

euNetworks focuses on delivering the best experience possible to customers - by making sure that everything that can be known before an order is taken is known, ideally including what physical capacity would be consumed. This requires a system based understanding of the capabilities in each site.

Main Responsibilities

  • helping define the methodology by which euNetworks will store "site capabilities"
  • creating telecoms solutions for selling and installing our core services to each location across our portfolio, using a combination of rules and custom design
  • (time allowing) this will then evolve into connecting the functionality to other areas of our systems to allow for a more seamless Quote to Cash process.

In addition, there will be a number of sub projects centred on data and process improvements.

Qualifications/Experience
Technical Skills:

  • analytical mindset
  • ability to use IT systems to extract Operational and Financial Data
  • enthusiasm to learn the basics of designing and installing telecoms services
  • an interest in Systems and Processes and their impact on business efficiency
Personality Traits:
  • patience and perseverance
  • an interest in Telecoms as an industry
  • self-starter with high motivation
  • thorough and accurate worker
  • strong communications skills
This project would suit a school leaver or undergraduate of a technical bent, with an aspiration to work in the Telecoms industry. The skills the intern will learn would open routes to positions in Telecoms in Installations, Solutions (Sales) Engineering, and Service Management, as well as in Business Process Improvement and general operations.
