Ethernet has become the de-facto standard for all connections, both in the LAN and WAN, with the economics of this connection unparalleled by any other Layer 2 protocol. |
With its cost, ubiquity and scalability advantages, Ethernet has transformed corporate and carrier networking. Ethernet, ubiquitous in the local area network (LAN), continues to grow exponentially in the wide area network (WAN) with its ease of use, scalability and low cost infrastructure.
Available from a large number of data centres, all major financial exchanges and numerous corporate buildings across Europe, euNetworks' Ethernet enables customers to connect their offices to data centres, for real-time sharing of applications, speedy transfer of data or the storage and replication of mission critical information.
euNetworks Ethernet allows customers to transport data between two or more locations including customer locations and data centres at speeds ranging from 10Mbps up to 1Gbps. euNetworks Ethernet is built on a robust, modern Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) platform and is fully
compliant and certified to MEF standards. This service is available in multiple topologies, including Point-to-Point, Point-to-Multipoint and Any-to-Any.
euNetworks Layer 2 VPN is based on Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS), allowing the Ethernet to expand beyond Point-to-Point connectivity, using a single Ethernet access circuit to reach multiple destinations. This makes bandwidth consumption more efficient than Point-to-Point connections
alone. The network emulates a LAN switch. Adding sites becomes plug and play, allowing you to control Layers 3 and above. euNetworks Layer 2 VPN offers four Classes of Service, allowing you to prioritise traffic according to your specific needs. This service is available both unmanaged and on a managed CPE basis, for enhanced monitoring and hands-off operation to the client.
